I wanted to write a short piece on how lucky we are to have Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club on our doorstep!
Not only do you have a first class gym, which I make the most of through the week, there’s also a great café, loads of sporting facilities, and a fantastic atmosphere on match days with brilliant staff in every department! Oh, and the first team won the league…
But for me, it’s the sense of community that is something else! Every Sunday morning, hundreds of children and their families descend on the club, a magic place for them to learn the values of rugby.

It’s been a pleasure taking my little girl to the ‘Shrimps’ session! A really welcoming set up for any two year old. There are lots of coaches, including juniors, who give up their time and put on a fun, engaging session every week. They really go above and beyond, making sure every one of the kids is encouraged! On multiple occasions, every “shrimp” was given a book they could keep.

Credit where it’s due! A cracking set up, really well run! I feel lucky to have it in my hometown.
