What is a Full Hearing Assessment?
A hearing assessment is 90 minutes and will include a full assessment of your hearing. Initially examining your ears, if you like we can show you the images of this on our video otoscope.
This hearing test is advised if:
You are asking people to repeat themselves.
Speech is unclear.
You are told that your TV is loud or need to use subtitles.
You struggle to hear on the phone.
Speech is not clear when you are in a group situation or there is background noise.
This assessment includes answering questions about your general health and ear health. At this point we will also try to understand your lifestyle and situations you would like to improve. We want to understand what is important to you.
If required, onward referral to other medical professionals will take place.

What is a Premium Hearing Assessment?
A premium hearing assessment is 90 minutes - 2 hours. Initially examining your ears, if you like we can show you the images of this on our video otoscope.
If there is any excess ear wax, we will remove this if possible. This will also include finding out about you, your lifestyle and hearing needs. We then ask you some questions to find out about your ear health.
Not only would we test your ability to hear, we like to find out about your ability to process and understand speech. We would carry out a hearing test and a speech test. The speech test allows us to understand your hearing ability in the presence of noise.
If appropriate (depending on your assessment results) you can experience hearing aid amplification at this appointment.
